Suitable for:

New entrants to the security industry and those who are returning to it having previously worked prior to the introduction of SIA licensing in 2004, will need to undertake the SIA training to be able to apply for the SIA licence.

Any new or returning entrant to the door security industry will need to undertake the required SIA training including; communication skills and customer care, health and safety, escorting techniques and conflict management. Since 2004 this course has become mandatory before making an application for an SIA licence.

Aims and Objectives:

The Level 2 Award in door supervision has been developed to meet the requirements of the Security Industry Authority (SIA). It is based on the relevant SIA specifications for learning and qualifications and provides the learner with the necessary skills and knowledge to apply for an SIA licence and work as a door supervisor within the private security industry.
