Licensing Requirements

In order to obtain their Licence within the manned guarding section, all potential Officers need to:

• Undertake 4 days Induction training plus an examination (Levels 1 & 2)
• Verify their identity
• Undergo additional checks by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB)

The cost of the Licence - which will be the property of the Security Officer and will remain valid for 3 years - is £245. However, if the Officer pays a basic rate of tax, £53.90 can be claimed against earnings from the Inland Revenue, which reduces the amount payable to £191.10. Furthermore, First Security are offering all our personnel an interest free loan in order to purchase the Licence.
